Walled City of Lahore Authority and Dulux Paints Celebrated Completion of Fort Road Food Street Revamp

Lahore, December 22, 2025 — The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA), in collaboration with Dulux Paints Pakistan, announced the successful completion of the revitalization and beautification of the historic Fort Road Food Street, marking a significant milestone in the restoration of one of Lahore’s most iconic cultural and culinary landmarks.

The completion was celebrated at a launch event held at Fort Road Food Street on December 22, 2025, with the formal unveiling of the transformed space. The event was attended by Mr. Mubbasher Omar, Chief Executive Officer of Dulux Paints Pakistan, and Mr. Najmussaqib, Director General of WCLA, graced with the presence of Mr. Stetson Sanders, United States Consul General in Lahore, along with senior representatives from civil society and corporate sector.

The project reflects a successful public-private partnership aimed at preserving Lahore’s rich architectural heritage while enhancing the street’s visual appeal. As part of the revamp, the historic facades along Fort Road Food Street were refreshed using carefully selected colors and finishes, celebrating the area’s cultural identity while introducing a vibrant, contemporary look.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Najmussaqib, Director General, WCLA, said,

The newly renovated Fort Road Food Street beautifully represents the harmony between Lahore’s rich history and its vibrant future. This project enhances not only the physical landscape of this historic site but also its cultural and tourism value.

Mr. Mubbasher Omar, CEO of Dulux Paints, highlighted the purpose behind the collaboration, stating;

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Stetson Sanders, United States Consul General in Lahore, emphasized international cooperation in heritage preservation, noting,
